- “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
- Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts.
- Deliver me, O Lord,
from lying lips,
from a deceitful tongue. - To you, O God of my ancestors,
I give thanks and praise,
for you have given me wisdom and power,
and have now revealed to me what we asked of you,

in God I trust; I am not afraid;
what can flesh do to me? - Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
- You shall not make gods of silver alongside me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold.
- Keep my steps steady according to your promise,
and never let iniquity have dominion over me. - Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
- If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.
- See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone's work.
- Yet even now, says the Lord,
return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. - “Ananias,” Peter asked, “why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, were not the proceeds at your disposal? How is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You did not lie to us but to God!”
- So we can say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can anyone do to me?” - I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.
- But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
- Deep calls to deep
at the thunder of your cataracts;
all your waves and your billows
have gone over me. - Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- He called the crowd with his disciples, and said to them, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
- By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name. - When I fed them, they were satisfied;
they were satisfied, and their heart was proud;
therefore they forgot me.
