- And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
- Save me, Lord,
from lying lips
and from deceitful tongues. - Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me. - ‘Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty.
- In God, whose word I praise—
in God I trust and am not afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me.”
- Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.
- “Even now,” declares the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting and weeping and mourning.” - Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”
- So we say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?” - Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
- Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me. - If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.
- Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.
- But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
- If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.
- By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life. - Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
- Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.
- The Lord will vindicate me;
your love, Lord, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands. - When I fed them, they were satisfied;
when they were satisfied, they became proud;
then they forgot me. - Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
- I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have preserved my life.
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus. Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.Next verse!With image
