- I reprove and discipline those whom I love. Be earnest, therefore, and repent.
- Give justice to the weak and the orphan;
maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute. - May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.
- See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death; then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified; and on the third day he will be raised.
- You are indeed my rock and my fortress;
for your name's sake lead me and guide me. - Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path.
