- O come, let us worship and bow down:
let us kneel before the Lord our maker. - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
- Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
- Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
- Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
- Let us search and try our ways,
and turn again to the Lord. - And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
- But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant.
- Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
- Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.
Praise ye the Lord. - With my whole heart have I sought thee:
O let me not wander from thy commandments. - Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
- Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
- For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
- Order my steps in thy word:
and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. - If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
- In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness. - Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts:
and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him;
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. - Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
- But let judgment run down as waters,
and righteousness as a mighty stream. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
- After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done in earth,
as it is in heaven. - Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
- My son, attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,
saith the Lord.But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.
