Chinese (traditional)- Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
- Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many. - Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
- A wholesome tongue is a tree of life:
but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. - The ransom of a man's life are his riches:
but the poor heareth not rebuke. - He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
findeth life, righteousness, and honour. - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
- But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
- Hope deferred maketh the heart sick:
but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
- For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
- But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
- And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
- Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
- Death and life are in the power of the tongue:
and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. - Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name. - These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
- He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction:
but he that refuseth reproof erreth. - Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
- Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
- For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
- Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
- Behold, God is mine helper:
the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. - For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God:
when shall I come and appear before God?A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.Next verse! With image
