Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Lips'
- Keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from telling lies. - Save me, Lord,
from lying lips
and from deceitful tongues. - The lips of fools bring them strife,
and their mouths invite a beating. - The Lord detests lying lips,
but he delights in people who are trustworthy. - Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips
and spreads slander is a fool. - Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool—
how much worse lying lips to a ruler! - My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—
I whom you have delivered. - The lips of the righteous know what finds favor,
but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse. - Keep your mouth free of perversity;
keep corrupt talk far from your lips. - Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious,
but fools are consumed by their own lips. - Those who guard their lips preserve their lives,
but those who speak rashly will come to ruin. - I have not departed from the commands of his lips;
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread. - Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands. - Take words with you
and return to the Lord.
Say to him:
“Forgive all our sins
and receive us graciously,
that we may offer the fruit of our lips.” - I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips. - Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent,
and discerning if they hold their tongues. - For, “Whoever would love life
and see good days
must keep their tongue from evil
and their lips from deceitful speech.
They must turn from evil and do good;
they must seek peace and pursue it.” - Sin is not ended by multiplying words,
but the prudent hold their tongues. - I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.
- All hard work brings a profit,
but mere talk leads only to poverty. - Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
- If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.”
