Love your self (3/4)

  • Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.
  • I cried out, “I am slipping!”
but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.
  • For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
  • The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.
  • Hatred stirs up quarrels,
but love makes up for all offenses.
  • Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.
  • Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name goes all the glory
for your unfailing love and faithfulness.
  • Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me.
Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.
  • And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.
  • May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.
  • Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
  • Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm.
For love is as strong as death,
its jealousy as enduring as the grave.
    Love flashes like fire,
    the brightest kind of flame.
  • This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.
  • Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
  • Give me an eagerness for your laws
rather than a love for money!
  • My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
  • I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.
  • Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.
  • Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love,
which you have shown from long ages past.
Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth.
Remember me in the light of your unfailing love,
for you are merciful, O Lord.
  • Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.
  • In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.
  • There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
  • Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.
  • “Don’t tear your clothing in your grief,
    but tear your hearts instead.”
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is merciful and compassionate,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
He is eager to relent and not punish.
  • For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God.

Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.Next verse! With image
