| For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life? | For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? |
| A perverse person spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends. | A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends. |
