Wealth is a ransom for a person's life, but the poor get no threats.The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.
With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can mortals do to me?The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in mortals.It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
To make an apt answer is a joy to anyone, and a word in season, how good it is!A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
Praise the Lord! Happy are those who fear the Lord, who greatly delight in his commandments.Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord.Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.
For what human being knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? So also no one comprehends what is truly God's except the Spirit of God.For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
He humbled you by letting you hunger, then by feeding you with manna, with which neither you nor your ancestors were acquainted, in order to make you understand that one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
He replied, “What is impossible for mortals is possible for God.”And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
How much more valuable is a human being than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the sabbath.How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
Or can one walk on hot coals without scorching the feet?Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
All deeds are right in the sight of the doer, but the Lord weighs the heart.Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
It is honorable to refrain from strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.
It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice.A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?”So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Each of you, however, should love his wife as himself, and a wife should respect her husband.Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and of people.Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
The clever see danger and hide; but the simple go on, and suffer for it.A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.
How happy is the one whom God reproves; therefore do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty.
In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers.Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps.A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Fools show their anger at once, but the prudent ignore an insult.A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.
Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Some friends play at friendship but a true friend sticks closer than one's nearest kin.A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
