Chinese (traditional)- Though the fig tree does not blossom,
and no fruit is on the vines;
though the produce of the olive fails
and the fields yield no food;
though the flock is cut off from the fold
and there is no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will exult in the God of my salvation. - While I kept silence, my body wasted away
through my groaning all day long. - If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
- Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not hide my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah - The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”
- But surely, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.” - My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.
- Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my help and my God. - But you, O Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. - For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. - You are indeed my rock and my fortress;
for your name's sake lead me and guide me. - I lift up my eyes to the hills—
from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - Hear, my child, and accept my words,
that the years of your life may be many. - I cried aloud to him,
and he was extolled with my tongue. - If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
- I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah - O God, you are my God, I seek you,
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. - But as for me, I will look to the Lord,
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - My times are in your hand;
deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors. - Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands and call on your name. - Hear my prayer, O Lord;
give ear to my supplications in your faithfulness;
answer me in your righteousness. - My child, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments;
for length of days and years of life
and abundant welfare they will give you. - My child, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart.
God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
and makes me tread upon the heights.But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you. My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.Next verse!With image
