- O come, let us worship and bow down:
let us kneel before the Lord our maker. - I will extol thee, my God, O king;
and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. - O taste and see that the Lord is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him. - Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,

my goodness extendeth not to thee. - But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
- For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many. - And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee:
for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. - Lord, all my desire is before thee;
and my groaning is not hid from thee. - With my whole heart have I sought thee:
O let me not wander from thy commandments. - O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
- My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from him. - For thou wilt light my candle:
the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
- O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
- Salvation belongeth unto the Lord:
thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. - Oh how great is thy goodness,
which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee;
which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee
before the sons of men! - Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee. - Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord;
and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you:
for I am merciful, saith the Lord,
and I will not keep anger for ever. - Ye that love the Lord, hate evil:
he preserveth the souls of his saints;
he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
