- By faith he received power of procreation, even though he was too old—and Sarah herself was barren—because he considered him faithful who had promised.

- I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.

but rescue us from the evil one. - He is the reflection of God's glory and the exact imprint of God's very being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
- “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.

For you have been a fortress for me
and a refuge in the day of my distress. - Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, singing,
“To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might
forever and ever!” - Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.
- Better is a little that the righteous person has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous. - Who are you to pass judgment on servants of another? It is before their own lord that they stand or fall. And they will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make them stand.
- There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
- For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time.
- My times are in your hand;
deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors. - The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
- For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen.
- The Lord loves those who hate evil;
he guards the lives of his faithful;
he rescues them from the hand of the wicked. - Let every person be subject to the governing authorities; for there is no authority except from God, and those authorities that exist have been instituted by God.
- Consequently he is able for all time to save those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
- There is one lawgiver and judge who is able to save and to destroy. So who, then, are you to judge your neighbor?
