Chinese (traditional)- And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
- Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
- And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
- Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
- Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,
for they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth
and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
for you, Lord, are good. - Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
- The Lord will rescue his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. - But when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
- My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge. - He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. - This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
- But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
- I desire to do your will, my God;
your law is within my heart. - Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
- Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
- By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life. - For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
- So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
- Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?
- To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
- For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
- Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. - Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers.
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.Next verse!With image
