- Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
- Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.
- Direct your children onto the right path,
and when they are older, they will not leave it. - All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
- Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”

- He reveals deep and mysterious things
and knows what lies hidden in darkness,
though he is surrounded by light. - O Lord, I have come to you for protection;
don’t let me be disgraced.
Save me, for you do what is right. - My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- Let those who are wise understand these things.
Let those with discernment listen carefully.
The paths of the Lord are true and right,
and righteous people live by walking in them.
But in those paths sinners stumble and fall. - People may be right in their own eyes,
but the Lord examines their heart. - And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
- Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.
- I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.
