- Better is a little that the righteous person has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,

but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. - Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord God, and not rather that they should turn from their ways and live?
- For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his faithful ones.
The righteous shall be kept safe forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. - Happy are those
who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or take the path that sinners tread,
or sit in the seat of scoffers. - But if the wicked turn away from all their sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is lawful and right, they shall surely live; they shall not die.
- Let the wicked forsake their way,
and the unrighteous their thoughts;
let them return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. - If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
- Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my thoughts.
See if there is any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - All day long the wicked covet,
but the righteous give and do not hold back. - When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.
- Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him;
do not fret over those who prosper in their way,
over those who carry out evil devices. - The heart is devious above all else;
it is perverse—
who can understand it?

and search the heart,
to give to all according to their ways,
according to the fruit of their doings. - For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than live in the tents of wickedness. - A highway shall be there,
and it shall be called the Holy Way;
the unclean shall not travel on it,
but it shall be for God's people;
no traveler, not even fools, shall go astray. - Rise up, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
do not forget the oppressed.
