- The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore. - I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have preserved my life. - Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
- Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
- And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
- Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.
- And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
- Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
- But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
- Diligent hands will rule,
but laziness ends in forced labor. - Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident. - Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
- I will walk about in freedom,
for I have sought out your precepts. - All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
- Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
- Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
- I will praise you with an upright heart
as I learn your righteous laws. - The wise in heart accept commands,
but a chattering fool comes to ruin. - My son, if your heart is wise,
then my heart will be glad indeed. - I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.
- In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety. - For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you. - We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!
- And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.Next verse!With image
