- This, then, is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.’ - Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
- I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.
- If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
- Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him. - Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” - For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.
- A thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night. - In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
- Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:
He appeared in the flesh,
was vindicated by the Spirit,
was seen by angels,
was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,
was taken up in glory. - Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
- Do everything in love.
- For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
- You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

- Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower.
- Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
- The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it. - If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?
- God sets the lonely in families,
he leads out the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. - God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
