- For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
- We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments.
- Righteousness exalteth a nation:
but sin is a reproach to any people. - Wash you, make you clean;
put away the evil of your doings
from before mine eyes;
cease to do evil. - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
- But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
- For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
- But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed. - I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- The way of the Lord is strength to the upright:
but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. - But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
- This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
- I acknowledge my sin unto thee,
and mine iniquity have I not hid.
I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord;
and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. - He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul;
but he that despiseth his ways shall die. - Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin.
- Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
- I have blotted out, as a thick cloud,
thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins:
return unto me;
for I have redeemed thee. - Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
- To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
- Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
- When I kept silence, my bones waxed old
through my roaring all the day long. - And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
- Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
- As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. - Who is a God like unto thee,
that pardoneth iniquity,
and passeth by the transgression
of the remnant of his heritage?
he retaineth not his anger for ever,
because he delighteth in mercy.
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.Next verse!With image
