- You have also given me the shield of Your salvation;
Your right hand has held me up,
Your gentleness has made me great.
You enlarged my path under me,
So my feet did not slip. - If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
- Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. - My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him. - Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You. - For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
- The entirety of Your word is truth,
And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. - Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.
- I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
And in His word I do hope. - He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions. - The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. - Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord God.’
- Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
- Get wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. - He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
- Hear, my son, and receive my sayings,
And the years of your life will be many. - You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
- All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
- For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
- Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.”
- This is a faithful saying:
For if we died with Him,
We shall also live with Him. - I have not departed from the commandment of His lips;
I have treasured the words of His mouth
More than my necessary food.
