Chinese (traditional)I praise God for what he has promised.
I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
What can mere mortals do to me? But when I am afraid,
I will put my trust in you. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one. Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.” May he grant your heart’s desires
and make all your plans succeed. And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. But the love of the Lord remains forever
with those who fear him.
His salvation extends to the children’s children
of those who are faithful to his covenant,
of those who obey his commandments! But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God. We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back. Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours
because you are precious to me.
You are honored, and I love you. For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.Next verse! With image
