Chinese (traditional)A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,
but only in expressing his opinion. So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. Lead me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all the day long. You shall not make gods of silver to be with me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold. Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began. When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you,
I give men in return for you,
peoples in exchange for your life. For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” The hand of the diligent will rule,
while the slothful will be put to forced labor. Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. O Lord, all my longing is before you;
my sighing is not hidden from you. Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom,
and whatever you get, get insight. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things. And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life. He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.Next verse!With image
