Chinese (traditional)I love you, O Lord, my strength,
O Lord, my rock, my fortress, my deliverer.
My God is my rock in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing. The Lord, your God, is in your midst,
a warrior and a savior.
He will rejoice over you with gladness
and renew you through his love.
He will exult over you with shouts of joy. And opens the eyes of those who cannot see.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom. This is my commandment:
love one another
as I have loved you. Come forth! Let us bow down to worship him;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker. Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you. Amen, amen, I say to you,
the one who believes in me
will also do the works that I do,
and indeed will do even greater ones than these,
because I am going to the Father. Grant justice to the weak and the orphan;
defend the rights of the lowly and the poor. However, if we confess our sins,
he who is faithful and just
will forgive our sins
and cleanse us from all wrongdoing. Therefore, encourage one another and strengthen one another, as indeed you are doing. O Lord, you are kind and forgiving,
filled with kindness for all who cry to you. Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.” I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. Now waiting for me is the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day—and not only to me, but to all those who have eagerly longed for his appearance. Treasures obtained by wicked means profit nothing,
but a righteous life brings delivery from death. Jesus replied, “Blessed, rather, are those who hear the word of God and obey it!” Therefore, my beloved brethren, stand firm and immovable, devoting yourselves completely to the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. There is only one thing I ask of the Lord,
just one thing I seek:
to dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
so that I may enjoy the beauty of the Lord
and gaze on his temple. Therefore, keep watch, for you do not know the day when your Lord is coming. But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. A fool spurns his father’s correction,
but whoever heeds admonition is prudent. Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where they will be destroyed by moth and rust and where thieves break in and steal. Rather, store up treasure for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves cannot break in and steal. I have given you a command. Be strong and brave, do not be afraid nor dismayed. I, the Lord, your God, will be with you wherever you go. You are my refuge and my shield;
I put my hope in your word. Nothing gives me greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. Without any doubt, the mystery of our religion is great:
He was made visible in the flesh,
vindicated by the Spirit,
seen by angels,
proclaimed to the Gentiles,
believed in throughout the world,
taken up in glory. A man’s ways may seem right to him,
but the Lord weighs the heart. When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.” If someone says, “I love God,”
but at the same time hates his brother,
he is a liar.
For whoever does not love the brother
whom he has seen
cannot love God whom he has not seen. Wait quietly for the Lord
and be patient until he comes.
Do not fret over the man who prospers
because of his evil schemes. As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom.Next verse!With image
