Chinese (traditional)My soul yearns for you in the night;
my spirit within me earnestly seeks you.
For when your judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called sons of God. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.” How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness,
who publishes salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. Therefore you shall keep his statutes and his commandments, which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time. My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all the day. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.” A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,
but only in expressing his opinion. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. Give justice to the weak and the fatherless;
maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Iron sharpens iron,
and one man sharpens another. For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path. Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.Next verse!With image
