And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. Riches profit not in the day of wrath:
but righteousness delivereth from death. Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. The Lord is righteous in all his ways,
and holy in all his works. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. I love the Lord, because he hath heard
my voice and my supplications.
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me,
therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. For the mountains shall depart,
and the hills be removed;
but my kindness shall not depart from thee,
neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed,
saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. Learn to do well; seek judgment,
relieve the oppressed,
judge the fatherless,
plead for the widow. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. And even to your old age I am he;
and even to hoar hairs will I carry you:
I have made, and I will bear;
even I will carry, and will deliver you. Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name. Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
