- The statutes of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. - Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel.
- Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
- I delight to do thy will, O my God:
yea, thy law is within my heart.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.Next verse!With image
