- Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
who greatly delights in his commandments! - You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.
- The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever! - And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
- Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.
- You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
- Incline my heart to your testimonies,
and not to selfish gain! - We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
- For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- If anyone sins, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, though he did not know it, then realizes his guilt, he shall bear his iniquity.
- Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.
- The sum of your word is truth,
and every one of your righteous rules endures forever. - Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
- I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
- Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
- I will praise you with an upright heart,
when I learn your righteous rules. - I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and be careful to obey my rules, and keep my Sabbaths holy that they may be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.
- So you shall keep my commandments and do them: I am the Lord.
- The precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - Whoever keeps the commandment keeps his life;
he who despises his ways will die. - Your testimonies are my heritage forever,
for they are the joy of my heart. - You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you.
- But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction.
- The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the blameless,
but destruction to evildoers.
