- The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - The wise of heart will receive commandments,
but a babbling fool will come to ruin. - Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
who greatly delights in his commandments! - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever! - I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have given me life. - Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?
- We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
- If anyone sins, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, though he did not know it, then realizes his guilt, he shall bear his iniquity.
- And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
- So you shall keep my commandments and do them: I am the Lord.
- You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
- I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
- The precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - Incline my heart to your testimonies,
and not to selfish gain! - You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you.
- Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
- The sum of your word is truth,
and every one of your righteous rules endures forever. - For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and be careful to obey my rules, and keep my Sabbaths holy that they may be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.
- Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.
- My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
for length of days and years of life
and peace they will add to you. - The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and wait there, that I may give you the tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.”
- I will praise you with an upright heart,
when I learn your righteous rules. - Your testimonies are my heritage forever,
for they are the joy of my heart. - But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction.
