- And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

- But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
- You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies and his statutes, which he has commanded you.
- The wise of heart will receive commandments,
but a babbling fool will come to ruin. - In the way of your testimonies I delight
as much as in all riches. - We have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules.
- Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?
- I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have given me life. - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
- The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.
- There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
