- For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
- All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
- As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
- Hear, my son, and receive my sayings,
And the years of your life will be many. - Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
- For thus says the High and Lofty One
Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place,
With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,
To revive the spirit of the humble,
And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” - For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:
“Seek Me and live.” - The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein. - The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. - And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.
- Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all. - But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
- Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
- For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.
- Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
- Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
Who walk in the law of the Lord! - Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
- For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
- For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.
- As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.
- For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.
- He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
- Go, eat your bread with joy,
And drink your wine with a merry heart;
For God has already accepted your works. - Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.
