- All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
- For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’
- But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
- For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:
“Seek Me and live.” - For thus says the High and Lofty One
Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place,
With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,
To revive the spirit of the humble,
And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” - Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - Hear, my son, and receive my sayings,
And the years of your life will be many. - As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
- The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. - The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein. - And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.
- All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
- For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.
- But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
- Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all. - Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
- Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
Who walk in the law of the Lord! - Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
- Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
- For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
- Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.
- For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
- As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.
- For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.
- For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.
