- Tear your heart and not your garments,
and turn to Yahweh, your God;
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness,
and relents from sending calamity. - Not to us, Yahweh, not to us,
but to your name give glory,
for your loving kindness, and for your truth’s sake. - For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.

Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh,
who delights greatly in his commandments. - For they didn’t get the land in possession by their own sword,
neither did their own arm save them;
but your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face,
because you were favorable to them. - And to love him with all the heart, with all the understanding, all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness,
for you reward every man according to his work.
