- God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - For the Lord loveth judgment,
and forsaketh not his saints;
they are preserved for ever:
but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. - And even to your old age I am he;
and even to hoar hairs will I carry you:
I have made, and I will bear;

thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - For thy mercy is great unto the heavens,
and thy truth unto the clouds. - Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.
- For the mountains shall depart,
and the hills be removed;
but my kindness shall not depart from thee,
neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed,
saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. - For who is God save the Lord?
or who is a rock save our God? - Let thine eyes look right on,
and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. - He is the Rock, his work is perfect:
for all his ways are judgment:
a God of truth and without iniquity,
just and right is he. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
give ear to my supplications:
in thy faithfulness answer me,
and in thy righteousness. - Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord:
let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. - He shall cover thee with his feathers,
and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. - The way of the Lord is strength to the upright:
but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
