- God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. - Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you. - Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
- For the Lord loves the just
and will not forsake his faithful ones.
Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed;
the offspring of the wicked will perish. - As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
- The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
- If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
- Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. - Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
- But, “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
- For the word of the Lord is right and true;
he is faithful in all he does. - For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies. - All hard work brings a profit,
but mere talk leads only to poverty. - When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - “Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he. - Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign Lord.’
- Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you. - He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. - Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord;
may your love and faithfulness always protect me. - For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you. - The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.
Lord, hear my prayer,
listen to my cry for mercy;
in your faithfulness and righteousness
