- God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. - Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you. - For the Lord loves the just
and will not forsake his faithful ones.
Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed;

your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies. - “Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he. - Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign Lord.’
- Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you. - For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. - The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever. - The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does. - May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you.
