- For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
it is he who will save us. - I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
- For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
- For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
- I have swept away your offenses like a cloud,
your sins like the morning mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you. - As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us. - He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
- For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- I know that my redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand on the earth. - Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
- And this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
- For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.
- Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
- How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
“Your God reigns!” - For this is what the high and exalted One says—
he who lives forever, whose name is holy:
“I live in a high and holy place,
but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly
and to revive the heart of the contrite.” - From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people. - Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.
- Restore us, Lord God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved. - But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord,
I wait for God my Savior;
my God will hear me. - This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles. - But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
- Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. - Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
who daily bears our burdens.
Bible verse of the day
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
