Chinese (traditional)- As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning.
- After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
- In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
- And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.
- We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
- ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
- Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

- Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence. Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
