Chinese (traditional)- But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
- May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
- There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
- We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
- But I will sing of your strength,
in the morning I will sing of your love;
for you are my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble. - Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
- You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you. - For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
- So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
- For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
- Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield. - Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.
- Of all the creatures living in the water, you may eat any that has fins and scales. But anything that does not have fins and scales you may not eat; for you it is unclean.
- Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
- But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.
- If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
- Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.
- Since you are my rock and my fortress,
for the sake of your name lead and guide me. - But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
- My soul yearns for you in the night;
in the morning my spirit longs for you.
When your judgments come upon the earth,
the people of the world learn righteousness. - I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.
- But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
- Give careful thought to the paths for your feet
and be steadfast in all your ways. - “And with you, Lord, is unfailing love”;
and, “You reward everyone
according to what they have done.”
Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago.A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence. My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.Next verse!With image
