An (4/4)

  • Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
  • Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
  • The Lord is good,
    a strong hold in the day of trouble;
    and he knoweth them that trust in him.
  • A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
    and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
  • Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
  • Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
  • That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
  • As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
  • For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
  • Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high,
    and the wilderness be a fruitful field,
    and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
  • Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
  • Search me, O God, and know my heart:
    try me, and know my thoughts:
    And see if there be any wicked way in me,
    and lead me in the way everlasting.
  • God setteth the solitary in families:
    he bringeth out those which are bound with chains:
    but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
  • Hear my prayer, O Lord,
    and give ear unto my cry;
    hold not thy peace at my tears:
    for I am a stranger with thee,
    and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.
  • Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
  • Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
  • But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
  • Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
  • For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
  • But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
  • My son, forget not my law;
    but let thine heart keep my commandments:
    For length of days, and long life,
    and peace, shall they add to thee.
  • And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
  • Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
  • Set me as a seal upon thine heart,
    as a seal upon thine arm:
    for love is strong as death;
    jealousy is cruel as the grave:
    the coals thereof are coals of fire,
    which hath a most vehement flame.
  • And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn. And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful? And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him? How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him? And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Bible verse of the day

Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice:
let thine ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications.

But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.
