- Tell slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to talk back, not to pilfer, but to show complete and perfect fidelity, so that in everything they may be an ornament to the doctrine of God our Savior.
- Anxiety weighs down the human heart,
but a good word cheers it up. - Let us therefore no longer pass judgment on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of another.
- A capable wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels. - Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.
- And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.

- Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
sweetness to the soul and health to the body. - But I say to you, Do not swear at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.

they are the joy of my heart. - And he said, “It is what comes out of a person that defiles. For it is from within, from the human heart, that evil intentions come: fornication, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, folly. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
- By insolence the heedless make strife,
but wisdom is with those who take advice. - With the loyal you show yourself loyal;
with the blameless you show yourself blameless. - Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever follows perverse ways will be found out. - Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.”
- With their mouths the godless would destroy their neighbors,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. - Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not make room for the devil.
- Husbands, in the same way, show consideration for your wives in your life together, paying honor to the woman as the weaker sex, since they too are also heirs of the gracious gift of life—so that nothing may hinder your prayers.
- The Lord is good,
a stronghold in a day of trouble;
he protects those who take refuge in him.
