- “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
- But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
- Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
- The Lord will vindicate me;
your love, Lord, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands. - I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
- So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
- Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
- And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
- And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
- Whoever would foster love covers over an offense,
but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. - The Lord watches over the foreigner
and sustains the fatherless and the widow,
but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. - If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- To fear the Lord is to hate evil;
I hate pride and arrogance,
evil behavior and perverse speech. - Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me. - You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
- And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
- Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity. - Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
- But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
- The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.
- I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
- As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart. - When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.Next verse!With image
