Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.
And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.
And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.
As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.As you do not know what is the way of the wind, Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, So you do not know the works of God who makes everything.
Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay. Salvation belongs to the Lord!But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.
Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.
To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
For in much wisdom is much vexation, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.For in much wisdom is much grief, And he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.

It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice.A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.
