- I sought the Lord, and he answered me,
and delivered me from all my fears. - He sent out his word and healed them,
and delivered them from destruction. - With their mouths the godless would destroy their neighbors,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. - Because I delivered the poor who cried,
and the orphan who had no helper.
The blessing of the wretched came upon me,
and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. - Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.
- He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else?
- He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- For I handed on to you as of first importance what I in turn had received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures.
- My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have rescued. - See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death; then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified; and on the third day he will be raised.

He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.Next verse!With image
