Chinese (traditional)- Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long. - Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,
for they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth
and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
for you, Lord, are good. - Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cry for mercy. - The tongue of the righteous is choice silver,
but the heart of the wicked is of little value. - As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart. - Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.
- Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me. - Surely God is my help;
the Lord is the one who sustains me. - Wash and make yourselves clean.
Take your evil deeds out of my sight;
stop doing wrong. - Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it. - My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you peace and prosperity. - Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me. - Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the Lord.’
- Anxiety weighs down the heart,
but a kind word cheers it up. - The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes. - A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - What a person desires is unfailing love;
better to be poor than a liar. - I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.
- Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
- If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God. - But I will sing of your strength,
in the morning I will sing of your love;
for you are my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble. - Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord. - You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
- So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.Next verse!With image
