- The face of the Lord is turned against those who do evil,
to erase all memory of them from the earth. - The one who calls you is faithful, and he will accomplish this.
- You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask.
- So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober.
- But if we hope for what we do not yet see, then we wait for it with patience.
- Arise, O Lord! Lift up your hand, O God!
Do not forget the afflicted. - Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Not as the world gives
do I give it to you.
Do not let your hearts be troubled;
be not afraid. - Beloved,
if our hearts do not condemn us,
we can approach God with confidence
and receive from him whatever we ask,
because we obey his commandments
and do whatever is pleasing to him. - Do not let anyone lead you astray. “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
- Just as you do not know the path of the wind
or how the body is formed in a woman’s womb,
so you do not know the work of God,
the Creator of all. - Wash yourselves and become clean;
remove your evil deeds
far from my sight.
Cease to do evil. - I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.
- Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ.
- Do not love the world
or what is in the world.
If anyone does love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. - “But you,” he said to them, “who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
- If we claim that we have fellowship with him
while we continue to live in darkness,
we are lying and do not live in the truth.
