- Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.

Do not forget the humble. - Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

- And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.

“Why were the former days better than these?”
For you do not inquire wisely concerning this. - Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”
And they divided His garments and cast lots. - Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects;
Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. - Judge not, that you be not judged.
- I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
- And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
- Do not turn to the right or the left;
Remove your foot from evil. - You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
- Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.
- As you do not know what is the way of the wind,
Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child,
So you do not know the works of God who makes everything. - For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
- If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
- I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.
- Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
