Chinese (traditional)- For thou art my rock and my fortress;
therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. - Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
- Therefore I will look unto the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me. - For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
- Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
- For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
- Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
- For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
- Blessed are the pure in heart:
for they shall see God. - For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.
- The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
- Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
- For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
- Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
- Blessed are they that mourn:
for they shall be comforted. - Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
- Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
- O God, thou art my God;
early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee,
my flesh longeth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is. - To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
- For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.How much better is it to get wisdom than gold!
and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
