- He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the Lord. - Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
- All this also comes from the Lord Almighty,
whose plan is wonderful,
whose wisdom is magnificent. - She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.
- For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
- But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- I have not departed from the commands of his lips;
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread. - For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.
- You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.
- “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
- Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it. - We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.
- For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.
- Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend
forsakes the fear of the Almighty. - And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
- When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.
- Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.
- Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
- Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread. - Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the whole world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God. - He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
- All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
- Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?
See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.Next verse!With image
