- Behold, God is mine helper:
the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. - It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy,
and after vows to make enquiry. - House and riches are the inheritance of fathers:
and a prudent wife is from the Lord. - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
- But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
- For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
- For his anger endureth but a moment;
in his favour is life:
weeping may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the morning. - Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
