Giving to the needy (3/4)

He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.
Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
“All right then,” Joshua said, “destroy the idols among you, and turn your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”“Now therefore,” he said, “put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord God of Israel.”
But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.
Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, you are God.Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
If we live, it’s to honor the Lord. And if we die, it’s to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.”
But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”Then Jesus said to them, “I shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who sent Me.”
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.
Can anyone object to their being baptized, now that they have received the Holy Spirit just as we did?Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?

All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
For the Lord gave us this command when he said, ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’
For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds.For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.
So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Don’t envy violent people or copy their ways. Such wicked people are detestable to the Lord, but he offers his friendship to the godly.Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways; For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright.
But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.

But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me.But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.
