God is light,

- God is not human, that he should lie,
or the son of man, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act,
does he promise and then not fulfill it? - The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright,
but destruction for evildoers. - Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked. A person will reap only what he sows.
- And God is able to enrich you with an abundance of every grace, so that, with all of your needs provided for, you may be able to produce a surplus of good works.
- Every word of God has proved to be true;
he is a shield to those who trust in him. - In it the righteousness of God is revealed, beginning in faith and established in faith. As it is written: “The one who is righteous will live through faith.”
- Therefore, put on the armor of God, so that you will be able to hold fast on the evil day and to hold your ground with all your strength.
- My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
a contrite and humble heart, O God,
you will not spurn. - To do your will, O God, is my delight;
your law is in my heart. - If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom should I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom should I be afraid? - The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.
- Indeed, the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any two-edged sword, it pierces to the point where it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and the intentions of the heart.
