let your face shine, that we may be saved. - Who is it that conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
- Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being.
- For what human being knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? So also no one comprehends what is truly God's except the Spirit of God.
- So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
- And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have being. - Some take pride in chariots, and some in horses,
but our pride is in the name of the Lord our God. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
