- You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves.
- But if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served, which were beyond the Euphrates River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
- Now then, do away with the foreign gods which are in your midst, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.
- For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly practice justice between a person and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the orphan, or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, nor follow other gods to your own ruin, then I will let you live in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.

He who watches over you will not slumber. - Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. - I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart;
I will tell of all Your wonders. - I will exalt You, my God, the King,
And I will bless Your name forever and ever. - Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

That which I have vowed I will pay.
Salvation is from the Lord. - The wise of heart will receive commands,
But a babbling fool will come to ruin. - Because Your favor is better than life,
My lips will praise You.
So I will bless You as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name. - But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
- Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned.
- Who will repay each person according to his deeds.
- Turn to my rebuke,
Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you. - I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth. - But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be discovered.
- The one who has found his life will lose it, and the one who has lost his life on My account will find it.
- The one who has believed and has been baptized will be saved; but the one who has not believed will be condemned.
- But many who are first will be last; and the last, first.
- For nothing will be impossible with God.
- For the Lord your God will have blessed you just as He has promised you, and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; and you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.
- For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- So I will prove Myself great, show Myself holy, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the Lord.
- A generous person will be prosperous,
And one who gives others plenty of water will himself be given plenty. - And the Lord is the One who is going ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not desert you or abandon you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed.
