Bible Verses about 'Gods will'
- Remember, you must not make any idols of silver or gold to rival me.
- But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.

Their gods are like
helpless scarecrows in a cucumber field!
They cannot speak,
and they need to be carried because they cannot walk.
Do not be afraid of such gods,
for they can neither harm you nor do you any good. - He will not let you stumble;
the one who watches over you will not slumber. - I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. - As for me, I look to the Lord for help.
I wait confidently for God to save me,
and my God will certainly hear me. - Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
- Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

Those who are righteous will be long remembered. - For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. - The people said to Joshua, “We will serve the Lord our God. We will obey him alone.”
- If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.
- The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.” - I will strengthen Judah and save Israel;
I will restore them because of my compassion.
It will be as though I had never rejected them,
for I am the Lord their God, who will hear their cries. - If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.
- And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
- Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.
- And I will forgive their wickedness,
and I will never again remember their sins. - I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises. - In those days when you pray, I will listen.
- But I will offer sacrifices to you with songs of praise,
and I will fulfill all my vows.
For my salvation comes from the Lord alone. - I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing.
- He will judge everyone according to what they have done.
- Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. - If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.
- The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.
- Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.
- Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.
- Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.
- But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.
- In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
- For the word of God will never fail.
- The generous will prosper;
those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. - But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.
- The Lord your God will bless you as he has promised. You will lend money to many nations but will never need to borrow. You will rule many nations, but they will not rule over you.
- The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.”
- The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.
- Your unfailing love is better than life itself;
how I praise you!
I will praise you as long as I live,
lifting up my hands to you in prayer.
